This is my preliminary task for the magazine option. This is the front cover I designed for a college newsletter/magazine.
I think that first of all my picture has not been cut properly I should have cut it more carefully and taken more time as we can still see parts of the original background surrounding the picture. I think there is also too much space left round the picture making it look rather bare and a little plain. It is not very eye catching and seems visually boring. The text however does seem to stand out and the main stories would catch the eye. This is because the writing is bold, big and stands out from the actual background. However my title of the magazine does not stand out very well and is not very visible when the title should be eye catching.
